GE Vingmed Ultrasound AS (GEVU) er verdensledende innen utvikling og produksjon av ultralydutstyr for medisinsk bruk og har status som Center of Excellence i GE Healthcare. Bedriften ble etablert i 1985 og har idag 180 ansatte fordelt på hovedkontoret i Horten og avdelingskontorene i Oslo og Trondheim. Bedriften har et utstrakt samarbeid med medisinske og teknologiske forskningsmiljøer i Norge og internasjonalt. Det er levert mer enn 60 norske doktoravhandlinger basert på utstyr fra GEVU.
